A water main burst when pressure built up in a pipe on the southeast corner of 21st St. and Ocean Park Boulevard. Water shot through the concrete at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and Santa Monica Water Resources worked all day to drain the water and replace the pipe.

Santa Monica Traffic Services have limited traffic running through the 20th through the 23rd St. intersections of Ocean Park Boulevard. Assistant manager of Water Resources Gary Welling said they hope to drain the water and reopen the road Wednesday night, but the 21st and Ocean Park intersection will stay closed overnight.

That's right outside my apartment! Caused a buildup in traffic earlier today. I believe they've been working on it all night. Hopefully it'll all be cleared later this morning.
