Santa Monica police arrested an aggressive man on Friday, May 3 at a Santa Monica Place restaurant after refusing to pay his bill, then swearing and calling officers names.
At 11:32 pm officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to The Sonoma Wine Garden, not to taste wine, but to investigate someone who had, and had not paid.
When the officers arrived they spoke with the manager, who told them that this suspect had entered the premises, ordered food and drink, consumed the food and drink, and when presented with the check had stated that he did not have any money with which to pay.
The officers asked the suspect for his version of events, and he admitted that he had consumed the food and drink, adding that he “did not give a f***.”
He then asked the officers “what the f*** are you going to do about it you ****** (this final expletive did not contain any alphabetical information in the police report as a clue to which insult was used, however, one can only imagine).
The officers showed this 31-year-old exactly what they were going to do about this by arresting him and charging him with burglary. Bail was set at $20,000.
