Topanga Canyon 14th Annual Artists’ Studio Tour Returns This Weekend:

Join intrepid art lovers on a unique self-guided odyssey through Topanga Canyon for the Artists’ Studio Tour this Saturday and Sunday, May 30-31.

The process of creating art is often a mystery to gallery or museum viewers who only see the finished work.

As you discover Topanga’s beautiful back roads and breathtaking vistas, its artists roll out the red carpet and welcome visitors into the sanctuary of their studio – the hive of creativity.

In addition to work on display for collectors and art buyers, there will be demonstrations and works in progress for a truly behind the scenes experience. See and hear how the artists turn their inspirations into art, and the techniques they employ.

A highlight of the tour is the Silent Auction at the Saturday night reception at Topanga Canyon Gallery. Participating artists contribute 8”x8” works of original art which will be taken home by the highest bidder.

Tickets for both days are $15 in advance at topangacanyongallery.com or $20 at the door the day of the tour. Children under 16 tour for free. The tour begins at Topanga Canyon Gallery where work from each artist will be on display with the site number to assist in route planning with the tour map.

Topanga Canyon Gallery is an artist-owned and run collective that grew from the first Topanga Artists’ Guild in the 1950s. Its current location in Pine Tree Circle opened in 2000. Topanga Canyon Gallery presents exhibitions by well-known and emerging artists from the Los Angeles area, many of whom make Topanga Canyon

In addition to the annual Studio Tour, Topanga Canyon Gallery produces a juried show in January, a student art exhibit each winter and new shows featuring the member artists throughout the year.

Topanga Canyon Gallery is located in Pine Tree Circle, 120 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd., #109, Topanga, CA 90290. Hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 10 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
