Members of SMC Faculty Recognized for Efforts Toward Garden

After five years of asking, Santa Monica College is getting their organic learning garden.
The decision came because of two strong members of the faculty, Facilities Planning Director Greg Brown and English professor Dana Morgan. On Tuesday, SMC recognized them as "EcoHeroes" as part of their Earth Week celebration.
The garden will be a place to teach students about basic gardening and about growing their own food.
SMC will hold a "ground blessing" on Wednesday and hope the garden is finished by the fall semester.
