More than 150,000 people attended the 27th annual Abbot Kinney Festival on Sunday to enjoy Venice’s unique flavor and its eclectic mix of boutiques, galleries, restaurants, salons, clubs, and coffee shops along a mile-long stretch of Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
The festival has continued to grow in size and popularity since it was established in 1982. It was originally created to inform people about the different non-profit groups committed to improving the community -- a priority that still holds strong each year.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, there was something that satisfied everyone’s tastes.
From one-of-a-kind art pieces and clothing, handmade jewelry and accessories, to exciting live music, delectable food trucks, and dedicated local merchants and artists, the festival brought together all of the things people love about Abbot Kinney.
Children ran with laughter towards the KidsQuad area, which was complete with dance lessons, arts and crafts, and bubbly performers, all bringing a great energy to the festival.
The festival brought together all sorts of great, energetic people, amazing art and food, and wonderful causes that informed everybody of many up and coming events and initiatives in the community.
