PS #1 Elementary School's “Celebrating Music” Winter Concert This Wednesday

The PS #1 Elementary School chorus will present its “Celebrating Music” winter concert this Wednesday, Jan. 11.

The afternoon event will feature music from a variety of genres, ranging from folk and multicultural songs to popular and Broadway tunes. 

The 19-member group of eight- to 11 year olds, will perform six songs with interludes by professional musicians.

The concert will start at 4:30 p.m. and a reception to follow. Free. All ages are welcome. It will be held in the Santa Monica Main library’s Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium. For more information, email Deirdre@psone.org or call 310.394.1313 ext. 140.

Wow, PS#1 singing winter songs. This sounds like the epitome of PC. Santa Monica has finally finished drinking the cool aid.

Thank God PS#1 is playing their music program somewhere other than on the 12th Street parcels! We are all so tired of the amplified musical events that blast through the once residential properties! On Fridays 9-10 am come on down!
