Bad Husband.
On Sunday, April 15, at 1:18 a.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to the 100 block of Margarita Avenue in response to an assault with a deadly weapon in progress report.
When the officers arrived they spoke with both the victim and the suspect, a husband and wife pair. They were both outside the residence, and the officers detained them after confirming who they were.
The wife, who was the victim in this case, told the officers that they were getting a divorce, but the husband was still staying at the residence for the “benefit” of their child.
On the above date she had become embroiled in a heated verbal argument with the husband, and the husband, after evidently losing the intellectual part of the argument, resorted to punching his wife in the face with a closed fist. He then tried to stop her when she attempted to call the police on her cell phone.
Based upon this evidence the officers arrested this 36-year-old Santa Monica resident and he was charged with domestic violence and damaging a wireless communication device.
His bail was set at $50,000.

At no time should a couple with children stay together if they are fighting around their children. No way is the child benefiting from a union that is toxic.. I don't understand that way of thinking at all. It is a receipt for disaster.

I like the way the point is made...yes, there is no "benefit."
