West L.A. and Valley Share in $195,000 PacBell Grant

Dozens of non-profit organizations in Los Angeles county will share in a recent $570,000 grant from the Pacific Bell Foundation to the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.
Included in the grant is $195,000 designated for 48 charitable agencies in West Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.
This donation brings Pac Bells 15-year contribution to United Way to more than $10 million.
Recipients of grant money were selected from a list of non-profit entities nominated by elected officials, community leaders, Pac Bells External Affairs managers and United Way.
Among designated recipients in West L.A. and the Valley are health education and health care facilities, youth education, youth programs, job training and placement, family services and scholar-ships.
Aurelia Freeman, External Affairs Director, Pac Bell, hosted a breakfast for representatives from the Santa Monica, Malibu and West L.A. non-profits which received grants at Schatzi in Santa Monica on July 29.
