IMALL, an e-commerce company based in Santa Monica,
has been sold for $425,000,000 in stock to ExciteatHome of Redwood
City Ca. IMall builds and maintains online shopping sites for
small-and medium-sized merchants. It also operates two internet
shopping search engines, which may or may not become part of the
ExciteatHome portals. The status of
IMall's offices and employees in the Santa Monica has
nit been announced.
ACTIVISION, INC.., headquartered in Santa Monica, a
developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment,
announced this week that it will release the first "Star
Trek" game for the Playstation game console in the summer of
2000. Founded in 1979, Activision posted revenues of $436 million for
the fiscal year ending in March, 1999.
NATIONAL GOLF PROPERTIES, INC., based in Santa Monica,
is the largest publicly traded American company specializing in the
acquisition and ownership of golf course facilities. It currently owns
150 golf courses in 25 states, Last week, its board of directors
declared a dividend of $0.44 per share for its fiscal quarter ended
June 30, 1999.
