Public Art in Santa Monica

   With the creation of the Santa Monica Arts Commission in the mid-1980s, the City began to catalogue existing art works, such as the statue of Saint Monica in Palisades Park at the end of Wilshire Boulevard, and commission new works. Some of those works are shown here.
