The Ocean Park Community Center (OPCC), a network of shelters and services for the homeless, mentally ill and victims of domestic violence, has announced the appointment of John Maceri as Executive Director.
A onetime businessman, Maceri became Executive Director of the Homestead Hospice, a community-based non-profit agency that provides residential care and supportive housing for people living with HIV and AIDS, since 1990.
A graduate of Western Washington University, Maceri has served or currently serves on the governing and advisory boards of the Children Affected By Aids Foundation, the Los Angeles Family AIDS Network and the Business Alliance of Los Angeles. He is currently Chair of the Los Angeles Countywide Housing Opportunities for persons with AIDS Advisory Committee.
Richard Hirsch, Chair of the OPCC board, said, The Ocean Park Community Center is delighted to welcome John Maceri. John was chosen after a nationwide search and we are confident that OPCC will greatly benefit from his leadership. He has been a respected member of the non-profit community for over a decade and we look forward to his vision and guidance.
