St. Monica Assistants Earn Praise
Mitch Chortkoff, Mirror Sports Editor
Larry Muno believes he's starting out as the St. Monica football coach with an outstanding group of assistants.

"I'd put them up against any high school football staff in the country," he said.

Muno's assistants include Myhael Terry, who played wide receiver at Troy University last season. Troy was one of college football's surprise teams and Terry has brought the team's offense to St. Monica.

"It's easy to learn and is a good mixture of running and passing," said Muno. "In four recent summer passing league games we scored eight touchdowns."

Ed Polite, a running back at Iowa, will coach the running backs.

Christian Gascou, who played at Boston College, will be the defensive co-coordinator. Brandon Jones, who played at St. Monica, will guide the kickers. George Hunter, who has coaching experience as an assistant at North Torrance, will be the junior varsity head coach.
